Captivating Melbourne is published by Your Australian Life. We collect as little information as we can, and we only use it for the reason you gave it to us. We never sell your information.

When you contact us

If you contact us, we receive your name, email address and whatever you write in your message. We use these details only to reply to you. Contacting us doesn’t add you to our newsletter.

Our newsletter

If you sign up for our newsletter, we keep your email address so we can send you new stories, guides and seasonal ideas. Our mailing list is managed by MailerLite, which stores the address for us. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to remove you at any time.

Our shop

When you buy from our shop, payment is handled by Stripe on its own secure page. We never see or store your card details. We receive your name, email address and what you bought, so we can deliver your download and help with any questions about your order.

Cookies, your browser and analytics

This website does not use advertising cookies or analytics. If that changes, we will update this page before it does. If you add something to your shopping cart, the cart is remembered in your own browser; it isn’t sent to us until you check out. Our website is hosted by Cloudflare, which handles technical information such as your internet address to deliver the site and protect it from misuse.

Other websites

Our pages link to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and official information websites. When you follow those links, the other website’s own privacy policy applies.

Travel partner links

Some links go to our travel partners: Klook, Viator, GetYourGuide and Agoda. These are affiliate links. When you follow one, the partner may use its own cookies to note that you came from our website, so that we can earn a small commission if you book. This costs you nothing extra. We don’t receive your booking or payment details, and the partner’s own privacy policy applies on their website.

Photographs

If you share a photograph with us and we would like to feature it, we will ask your permission first and credit you as the photographer.

Where your information is kept

Some of the services we use, such as MailerLite, Stripe and Cloudflare, may store information on servers outside Australia. We only use well-established services that protect the information they hold.
